Our two dynamic, three-part workshop series are designed to equip individuals from community organizations and non-profit professionals with practical AI skills that drive real impact.

We’ve heard from many people in our community that learning AI is intimidating, especially for people who have historically been and continue to be marginalized and underrepresented in tech. We get that – and make learning it approachable, hands-on and engaging, so your community leaves feeling confident and ready to continue learning.

Workshop series are valued at $2,500 and can be provided at low to no cost to community organizations and non-profits.

Workshop Series Options:

This three-part series helps individuals understand AI fundamentals, optimize job searches, and boost productivity with AI-powered tools. Whether you’re looking to explore AI basics or enhance your career prospects, these hands-on sessions will give you the knowledge and confidence to thrive in an AI-driven world.

 

Workshop #1 – AI Fundamentals: Unravel the mysteries of concepts like machine learning, computer vision, natural language processing, generative AI, and beyond.  Discover the possibilities AI offers and gain invaluable insights into responsible AI practices. By the workshop’s end, you’ll emerge with a fresh perspective on AI’s potential and the knowledge to wield it ethically and effectively.

 

Workshop #2 – Hack Your Job Search Using AI: Feel empowered to leverage AI tools for a more efficient and effective job search. You will learn how to optimize resumes, craft compelling cover letters, improve outreach strategies, and prepare for interviews using AI. 

 

Workshop #3 – AI Powered Productivity Tools: Supercharge your productivity with the right AI tools. In this workshop, you’ll build a personalized toolkit to tackle challenges, streamline your workflow, and get more done with less effort. Learn how to identify your pain points, explore powerful AI-driven solutions, and seamlessly integrate them into your daily routine.  Work smarter, not harder—let AI help you maximize your efficiency.

Designed for mission-driven organizations, this series explores how AI can enhance strategic planning, advocacy efforts, grant writing, and financial management. Learn how to streamline operations, track public sentiment, and create data-driven strategies that amplify your organization’s impact.

Who is a private workshop for?

Some groups we’ve worked with in the past are:

    • Employment skill-building organizations
    • Community organizations for women, Racialized people, and newcomers
    • Local libraries and community centres with programs for adults
    • Friendship and Indigenous adult educational centres
    • Shelters and housing organizations for adults
    • And more…talk to us!

We prioritize groups who have historically been and continue to be marginalized and underrepresented in tech, with a focus on cis women, trans women, trans men, non-binary people, and others who are marginalized because of their gender identity as well as Black, Indigenous and other Racialized people, people in low-income communities, and newcomers.

How does it work?

  1. Email us at communitysuccess@canadalearningcode.ca to let us know which Canada Learning Code’s workshop series you’re interested in.
  2. Together we can determine what works best for your community in terms of dates and times.
  3. Once confirmed, get ready to learn! We’ll set up the registration process for you and provide you with a promotional kit to share with your community.
  4. Start the workshop series! Our workshops are primarily delivered virtually over Zoom and your learners can join separately or watch together from a room.

While our primary mode of delivery is online, we understand that some communities benefit from in-person learning. That’s why we offer the flexibility for in-person workshops upon request, ensuring that we can cater to your unique needs and preferences. Email us at communitysuccess@canadalearningcode.ca to discuss opportunities for in-person private workshops. There is limited availability for in-person workshops.

The workshop series are valued at $2,500 and can be subsidized for community organizations and non-profits to be provided at low to no cost. We aim to reduce financial barriers and meet you where you’re at.
