This Module is designed to give learners the skills to build and use WordPress as a website for their business.

Workshop 1:
- Slide 2: You will not be able to download the slides.
- Slides 7 – 8: You will be able to complete this by showing the slides, screenshots, and prompting discussion.
- Slides 10 – 12: You will not be able to do this offline.
- Slides 13 – 14: You will be able to complete this by showing the slides, screenshots, and prompting discussion.
- Slides 15 – 29: You will not be able to do this offline.
- Slide 30: You could have learners brainstorm and paper prototype what the ‘About Us’ page would look like.
- Slides 31 – 32: You will not be able to do this offline.
- Slides 33 – 36: You will be able to complete this by showing the slides, screenshots, and prompting discussion.
- Slides 37 – 42: You will not be able to do this offline.
- Slides 43 – 44: You can discuss Creative Commons licensing and what it means, but they will not be able to access the websites.
- Slides 45 – 50: You will not be able to do this offline.
- Stretch Goals: You can complete the paper prototyping stretch goal.
Workshop 2:
- Slide 2: You will not be able to download the slides.
- Slides 7 – 13: You will be able to complete this by showing the slides, screenshots, and prompting discussion.
- Slide 14: You will not be able to complete this offline.
- Slide 15: You will be able to complete this by showing the slides, screenshots, and prompting discussion.
- Slide 16 – 26: You will not be able to complete this offline.
- Slide 27: You will be able to complete this by showing the slides, screenshots, and prompting discussion.
- Slide 28 – 29: You will not be able to complete this offline.
- Slide 30 – 47: You can review these concepts, but learner will not be able to complete the actions offline.
- Stretch goals: You can focus on promoting your website. This can be done individually or in pairs. Have learners paper prototype or present in various ways the self-promotion of their websites!
Workshop 3:
- Slide 2: You will not be able to download the slides.
- Slides 7 – 8: You will not be able to complete this offline.
- Slide 9: You could ask learners to describe an online shopping experience, if they do not have access to wifi. Then have them brainstorm as a group a way to combat the issues they have previously faced.
- Slides 10 – 19: You will be able to complete this by showing the slides, screenshots, and prompting discussion.
- Slides 20 – 27: You will not be able to complete this offline.
- Slides 28 – 31: You could do this offline, and show the examples of code in an offline editor like Atom.
- Slides 33 – 42: You will not be able to do this offline.
- Slide 43: You will be able to complete this by showing the slides, screenshots, and prompting discussion.
- Slide 45: You will not be able to complete this offline. Instead, have learners practice HTML and CSS using Atom.
- No stretch goals for this workshop.
Special Considerations:
- You will need paper, pens/pencils for this module.
